NGN Majlis organizes 4 Seminars to promote Cyber Security awareness in Bahrain

Within activities of “NGN” Majlis to promote cybersecurity awareness in Bahrain, NGN International, a full-service systems integrator and Managed Security Service Provider based in Bahrain will organize four seminars on “Ransomware” from September 28 to December 8, 2022.

These seminars will witness the participation of a group of experts and specialists from major Bahraini institutions and companies. This series will demonstrate the Ransomware lifecycle, discuss prevention and detection measures, and how to respond and recover in the case of a Ransomware incident.

Panelists of Part 1 will include Mr. Ali Beshara, Head of Information Security and Risk Management (CISO) at The BENEFIT Company, Mr. Ali Almahdi, Infrastructure Support DC/DR Operations Manager at KFH Bahrain, Mr. Ameen Altajer, CEO at INFINITEWARE, The event will be Moderated by Mr. Yusuf Husain, Information Security Manager at Khaleeji Commercial Bank.

 The CEO of “NGN” Mr. Yaqoob Al Awadhi said that this series of seminars comes within the framework of the company’s continued journey in spreading awareness about the importance of cybersecurity due to the increasing ransomware attacks in Bahrain, calling on all those interested in the field of cybersecurity to attend the seminars to enhance their knowledge and experience in the field of cybersecurity. He pointed out that certificates will be awarded to all Participants upon completion of the program.

Mr. Al-Awadhi added that the NGN Majlis is part of the company’s social responsibility, noting that the success of this Majlis since its inception and the great interaction it enjoys reinforces NGN’s commitment to intensify these series of seminars and improve their content and topics.

It is worth mentioning that the NGN Majlis has so far hosted dozens of speakers in various fields related to cybersecurity, as part of its objective to spread awareness of cybersecurity among individuals and institutions in Bahrain, educate stakeholders in the public and private sectors about the potential cyber threats they may face online, their roles and responsibilities to create secure cyberspace, and support the Kingdom of Bahrain’s drive towards digital transformation and economic diversification, especially with the adoption of modern technologies such as cloud computing and artificial intelligence.
