NGN International,” a full-fledged systems integrator and IT consultant based in Bahrain, stated that it will launch a campaign to raise awareness of cybersecurity among individuals and institutions in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

This campaign coincides with similar initiatives taking place in many countries around the world during the month of October of each year, which was declared as a worldwide month to promote cybersecurity awareness.

Mr. Yaqoob Al Awadhi, CEO of NGN International and IT Expert, stated that “NGN” has taken on the task of highlighting the Kingdom of Bahrain’s reputation in international cybersecurity events held in October of each year, noting that these events were first held by the United States in 2004 and have been followed by the European Union since 2012.

“NGN campaign will feature a series of events, including virtual and on-the-ground seminars and lectures, with cybersecurity experts from Bahrain and around the world participating to discuss the opportunities and challenges Bahrain faces. The goal is to raise cybersecurity awareness and develop the appropriate recommendations for decision-makers to activate and accelerate national cybersecurity efforts.” Al Awadhi said.

According to Al Awadhi, the campaign also includes sending out awareness messages via social media, e-mail, and mobile phone to raise public awareness about the importance of maintaining cybersecurity when conducting financial transactions, registering data digitally, or engaging in any other online activity.

“In awareness of the sensitivity of cyber-attacks and the massive harm they may do to essential vital sectors such as energy, health, transportation, and many others, many countries and governments across the globe are dedicating autonomous organizations and large resources to cybersecurity. and in addition to providing great work prospects for national cadres, this field offers several investment potentials.” Al Awadhi concluded.
